"This place had the retro fish and chip vibe I miss!! Low lighting, tv with the footy on and all set in a rad brick building straight out of 1992. It totally took me back to my childhood. The food was good. Flake wasnt fresh but the batter was great. I scoffed it before I thought to take a photo so there ya go! It needed some lemon/lime and mayo. I asked for extra chicken salt on the order and it was exactly as I wanted - with a nice Mitani-tasting seasoning. For some reason the batter on the crab sticks wasn’t as good as the flake but they still hit the spot. Service and prices were unbeatable. A flake, min chips, x2 dimmies and x2 crab sticks for $20…served with genuine smiles. Try finding that in Melbourne these days! In a weird way I love that they don’t take eftpos. Next door the lovely mum and her daughter in the supermarket were more than willing to accommodate. Overall an awesome, old school fish and chip experience on my final night in Geelong. Highly recommend!"

"BEST FISH ‘n’ CHIPS in LEOPOLD! just around the corner from me I found this awesome fish and chip shop and I’m so glad I did! Beautiful, tasty and fresh fish, potato cakes but you just have to try their pineapple and banana fritters – OMG, absolutely delicious! They’re so friendly being a family run business, from ordering over the phone to picking it up, they’re always so quick, friendly and affordable. Emily’s just a darling girl! Having recently moved back home from Brisbane, I asked if they had a particular fish that I loved from up there. They didn’t however had a similar one but what I found impressive was that they knew what part of the sea/ocean it swims in! I was able to get something very similar and it was fresh, plump and really tasty! Thanks so much for your wonderful food and really friendly service,keep up the great work! First not realising that they don’t have EFTPOS, they let me take the food home knowing that I would definitely return the next day with payment – how often do you find that in any store anywhere in the world? They’re amazing, simply amazing! you’ve definitely got a customer for life in me!"
